Perception Cycles vs Human Behavior : People like Progress but they are not sure about Change.

Everyone cheers for progress because progress is imagined, and imagination is free — it costs nothing to picture the after photo, so we fall in love with it. Change is different: change is what truth does when it finally gets loose in a room. Truth doesn’t negotiate, doesn’t wait for consensus, doesn’t care that your quarter’s already planned — it just arrives, names the thing that no longer works, and hands somebody the bill. And that’s the clash. Truth drives change, but imagination drives perception, so the same future gets received two completely different ways: as a beautiful abstraction when it’s still a slide, as a personal threat the moment it has a date on it. People aren’t anti-progress. They’re just meeting reality on a Tuesday with a mental picture built for a keynote. So pick a side and pick it early — be on the side of what’s true, not what’s comfortable, because comfort is just imagination refusing to update. Change is truth with a deadline. Go meet it first.
