Raja-Krishna

I started building my father’s website , to set him up for a post-retirement engagement in his favourite subject – Astrology . He has been learning Astrology but he kept his knowledge to himself. Check the website here: www.shantaram.online.  I needed visitors for my father’s website. I chose Linkedin. After experimenting with posts on Linkedin – I discovered there is a way to get views on your posts.

Secret Sauce : I added people who showed interest in astrology or related topics in my father’s network before posting.

After I got a small audience I grew the audience with my 5 point RULE.

1. 🎯 Clarity Over Clickbait

I didn’t post for attention—I posted for value. Whether it was a career lesson, a productivity framework, or a thought from ancient texts—I made it relevant and honest.

2. 💬 Stories Beat Stats

People don’t connect with metrics. They connect with people. I shared stories—failures, learnings, and even internal struggles. It made others feel seen.

3. 🧠 Consistency, Not Quantity

I didn’t post every day. But I showed up regularly with intentional content. One good post a week > seven generic ones.

4. 🕉️ Niche Wisdom > Generic Advice

I experimented by blending ancient Indian philosophy (like the Upanishads) with modern workplace challenges. Surprisingly, deep ideas explained simply sparked huge engagement.

5. 🤝 Engagement Builds Momentum

I replied to comments, acknowledged DMs, and featured insights from others. It became a conversation—not a monologue.
